Good care doesn’t stay inside the clinic or the home visit. Keka Rehab Services is a community-based practice, so part of our work happens out in the community — free, open, and led by our own clinicians.
Jajja Fitness — our flagship community program
Once a month, Team Keka leads a free wellness session for seniors at Africano Waltham. The focus is balance and fall prevention: practical movement, practiced together, at a pace that respects the people in the room.
Clinicians: come give an hour
Right now, these sessions are carried by Dr. Kennedy and the Keka office team. They shouldn’t have to be. If you’re a Keka clinician — or a clinician in the area who wants to give something back — you’re invited to join a session, help our seniors practice, and be part of the part of this work that isn’t billed to anyone.
To volunteer, fill out the short volunteer sign-up form on this page and we’ll be in touch before the next session. Questions: info@kekarehabservices.com · 857-345-9589 (main) · 774-777-1340 (office — call or text)

Jajja is the Luganda word for an elder — a grandparent. The name is deliberate. Keka’s founder was raised in rural Uganda by his grandmother, Jajja Meeme, and her story is part of why this company exists (see our About page). Jajja Fitness carries that same respect into the work: our elders are not an afterthought. They are the point.
The program runs under UMCHI — the Ugandans in Massachusetts Community Health Initiative — and is presented by Team Keka.
Watch the sessions
We record our community sessions — the fitness and Zumba classes included — and post them on the Keka Rehab Services YouTube channel, so participants can practice at home and families can follow along. Sessions also appear on Keka Rehab Services’ channels.
The same spirit, other rooms
Waltham is where we are most consistent — every month, without fail. Through the agencies and communities we work with, Keka clinicians also bring wellness sessions and in-services to other settings, including Rogerson Communities and programs in the Chinese community. The format changes with the room. The idea doesn’t: show up, teach something useful, and treat people’s health like it matters before there’s a crisis.
Jajja Fitness is a partnership, not a solo act.
- UMCHI (Ugandans in Massachusetts Community Health Initiative) — the initiative this program runs under.
- Africano Waltham — our host community in Waltham, whose Senior Program the sessions serve.
Program partners also include Sanyu Nutrition, Simple Communications, and A-Net Associates.
Join us, or bring us to your community
If you’re a senior in the Waltham area, the door is open on the last Tuesday of the month. If you run a community program, a senior residence, or an agency and you’d like Keka to bring a wellness session to your people, we’d like to hear from you.
